Merry berries

There are still a few berries on the cotoneaster and some of the leaves are holding on with their bright autumn colour.
There was a special request from N for the last of the meat from the small turkey crown to be turned into croquettes, a memory from Christmases before we met. I wasn’t too keen but thought I’d give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I’m sure the key to flavour was the addition of left-over stuffing. I’m pleased that everything got used up without resorting to freezing. Things tend to disappear into the darkest corners of the freezer until they are well past there best before date!
