Canal Kingfisher

Out for a mid-afternoon walk, making the best of the break in the fairly heavy rain from earlier this morning ...

... and we struck it really lucky in seeing a Kingfisher, on the branches of the off-bank of the Union Canal, just beside Polwarth Parish Church :-)

- my phone-camera doesn't do the wonderful sight justice (see top-right of the collage) but it was still good to capture the moment;
- top-left is 'M' & 'R' walking through Harrison Park;
- top-middle, the Ashley Terrace Boathouse;
- bottom-left, the Church from the Park;
- bottom-right, the community canal-boat, All Aboard, moored in front of Polwarth Parish Church.

All within 10-minutes of the flat :-)
