Cats and dogs

Cholmeley is good with all animals that don’t pose a threat. When we first got chickens, I introduced him face to face and that was that. He never bothered with them. And Tommy was in residence before Cholmeley was born.

Mabel came into a house with chickens, cat and dog. The first two were obviously only here for her to torment. Cholmeley is her favourite.

Now we have Thierry. Cholmeley is chilled. Mabel is on high alert. When we let Thierry run around downstairs, she follows him but hasn’t engaged yet.

Tommy is unhappy with everyone. He’s an old grumpy man.

I wonder whether we’ll ever have harmony. My cat expert friend says we may not - but they’ll adjust to each other eventually.
