Art in the Park

You know how it goes. There's an interesting place that you keep talking about visiting, but somehow never get around to it. Like Big Rock Garden Park in Bellingham -- the place where ArtistAnnie, aka Ann Chaikin, got the wonderful blip series (and videos) of the hummingbird nest. We've lived here twelve years and never went there until today.

It was Ann who was the catalyst that got us there -- she was one of the artists in the plein air painting, part of the Mothers' Day special event which included a harpist playing in the gazebo, and live poetry readings. Cynthia's already written a complete description of the park and today's happenings in her blip, so I'm not going to try to repeat it -- she does it so much better than I could.

We really enjoyed the park -- it's a little jewel -- and we'll be going back. Plenty of blip subjects there!
