Alocasia amazonica

It would appear these are sometimes "Elephants Ears", I think that is a bit insulting to both Elephants and the plant.  A desperation blip....... again!  We were setting off home mid morning and wouldn't have a lot of opportunities to blip.  The leaves on this plant of Kat's had been catching my eye everytime I passed the.  So I took a few shots "just in case".

The run down was in really evil weather conditions.  As we approached the M74 the satnav was suggesting a delay of 1 and a half hours so we stopped at the services for a break before joining the motorway.  Fortunately, by the time we were ready to leave again the delay had vanished.  Soon after we set off another delay was flagged up, this time of 10 minutes.  When we reached the delay it appeared to be caused by a lane coned off for road works.  I suspect the backlog of traffic from the long delay were then crowding the two lanes and causing congestion.
