Here we go again..
Went up to London via the usual stop start train arrangements, there was a restricted service so we had to drive to Guildford, take the little stopping train to Waterloo then bus to meet HB at the new Honey and Smoke. They didn’t have our table ready so we wandered the tempting shops in Lambs Conduit St and V bought a lovely warm jacket in the sale.
Delicious lunch with raspberry and rose Bellinis given free because of the wait.
After lunch V and I went to Pudding Mill Lane for the Abba Voyage experience. Slightly to my surprise as I thought it sounded a bit Disney but V was adamant he wanted to see it because a work colleague had raved about it. It was extraordinary. The old ABBA rendered young again and delivered to us with phenomenal light effects and a live band. It was precision planned and there was enough going on to feel human but also knowingly digital. Despite myself I did really enjoy it and even danced to Dancing Queen. The audience were very mixed in age but we sat behind a young grandmother with a very glum teenage granddaughter who I think was a bit baffled.
Long reverse trip back but home by 11.
