...so I played with car engine, got her started & managed to drive to village garage. "Leave it on the car park, we'll arrange scrapping". Well, I had bought it from them in July 2020 for €300 and expect to be treated like the VIP customer I am.

Eventually owner did look under the bonnet & said change the plugs, see if it's that, if not come back & we'll have some old Polos lying around to exchange the leads, distributor.

It was running so well, I even risked a run to Ottobeuren for the evening dog walk, and she easily even got up this little hill. But most of the time firing in 2 or 3 cylinders!

Back home, ordered online new plugs, leads & distributor cap+finger,
