Loudoun Hill
We'd comtemplated heading out to Biggar tonight for their hogmanay torchlit procession and bonfire, but sleet & snow is forecast and it just seemed like a bit too much hassle, so it looks like we'll stay in and watch a film instead. Rock and roll.
Spent the best of the day out for a very wee wander up Loudoun Hill. Apparently the site of a William Wallace battle, a Robert the Bruce battle and a Convenantars outdoor ceremony. Today it was the site of a very handsome and well behaved dog who was talking to his echo, some heard but not seen ravens and a seen and heard buzzard. It's only around a mile to get o the top, but is a little steep and very muddy with all the rain we've had.
Blip shows the hill next to the Spirit of Scotland Scuplture which commemorates the battles. We'll have to go back in clear weather when there's a chance of seeing the see and Arran.
Rest of the day I spent in the kitchen, made some bagel bombs which I've been craving at this time of year since we visited Vermont that one time. Then dealt with the remaining apples that had been stored away in the garage, which also involved making an apple and rhubarb pie.
Had a little challenge to myself to make sure I blipped every day of December, despite the rubbish weather and work busyness. Please to say that I've made it!
Happy New Year and I hope 2023 is good to you all.
