40 Farms

It was the first time this Millenium that I'd been into town on New Year's Eve. We did some shopping and then went to Rheged to see the photographic exhibition, 40 Farms. It was a study of farming life by Amy Bateman. She'd printed about 5 shots of each farm with a description of how the farmers were running it. It closes in a few days' time so we were pleased we saw it.

I made a new meal of sticky lamb steaks for tea, then we watched Dirty Dancing. It was a long time since I'd watched it.

The end of a year that saw the loss of our best friend and had us facing another upheaval but one in which I have striven to try new things, join activities and tried to be a happier, more relaxed person. That's a work in progress!
