2023!!!

New Year Felicitations to you all!

The spectacular explosion is courtesy of our neighbours on the other side of the waterfront.  They'd been at it since after dinner, taking care to save the 'blastiest' ones for last.  Temperatures are about 13 to 15 degrees where we are, so it was not uncomfortable for outside shots.

A quiet day with not a single firecracker heard anywhere near, and further away a handful of pops.   The sun actually appeared early in the afternoon, unbelievable but true.

Spent the afternoon attending to some genealogy information.  Mails from the Viking have arrived, all of them with attachments.  I need to print those out and then wrangle an appointment early tomorrow with my 'favourite' notary public.  If all goes well, I should be able to get the apostilling business at the courthouse done as well, and then maybe make it to DHL at the end of the day.  All plans, no idea if they'll push through.  One by one.  Finally, last but certainly not least, ... housekeeping!  Kitchen duties, ironing duties, putting away of all kinds of things.
