Bleak day.

We were woken at 2.30 by an environment agency flood alert - which was extremely annoying as when we checked this morning the alert didn't really apply to us - just some small low lying roads and fields. They were criticised after Storm Desmond for not giving enough warning and now they go over the top. This was a fully automated message because of lack of staff on site I suppose. Normally we wouldn't get woken at night. We don't worry unless the flood gates are shut - which, needless to say, they are not!
