Shiny Shoulders

Our organist is multi-talented: she's a paramedic who organises many functions in the village and plays the music at them, using any of several instruments.  Yes, "Deck the Halls" is about to run out of time as we reach the day that we should be clearing the decorations; but we went to Portugal for Christmas to keep my mother company.so our home decorations were sparse, easily cleared.  It will take longer to catch up with Christmas cards that we forgot to send.

I spoke to my brother in Bulgaria this morning: the temperature in the east is 20ºC!  Worse than that, the temperatures vary wildly from week to week, so the local fruit trees will suffer.  He was eating shallots that were still growing before he harvested them today.  Climate change is a problem.
