First snowdrops for a new year

Firstly, thank you so much for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts that you gave me for my Blip anniversary yesterday. All are greatly appreciated.

The first day of 2023 has been showery and miserable.  I went for a walk around the village - the rain has flooded the castle field.  The snowdrops in bud pushing through the wet leaves seem an appropriate sign of new beginnings for the new year.
