New year's day

Been working all weekend, and feeling under the weather due to the twins sharing their germs so freely over Christmas. Coughing, sore throat and no voice. Found it quite difficult covering the visitor centre staff lunch break, why do people insist on asking questions when you apologise for not having a voice?!?
Missed all the celebrations on telly as I was in bed by 19:30.
Dogs have been very good, fortunately they are trained to a whistle.
Nothing like a log burner kicking out heat at the end of the day
