Quite windy, cloudy, sun trying to get through and milder.

This morning our friends called for us and we drove to Southend, parked the car and walked to the pier, quite busy. Walked along the pier and back, just over 2 miles. We took our collection of 5p's into the RNLI shop. Had a coffee and tea cake and I managed to get this shot of a family on the beach. It has become an annual event walking the pier on New Year's day but this was the most crowded. Walked back to the car and came home. Quick turn around and then we walked to our friend for the rest of the afternoon.
This evening I cooked a roast dinner, gorgeous piece of lamb with all the usual roast veg. Trying to get blip put on before Call the Midwife starts! May not get round to commenting!
