Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, and welcome to 2023.

CyclopsJnr woke up to join the festivities at Midnight, so I was with my two best ones to see the year in.  Champagne, ringing the church bell and lots of laughs.  CyclopsJnr had water (to save cleaning his teeth again) in a champagne glass to join in, then hung out with us for an hour or so before retreating to bed.

The three boys were up at about 7am for first breakfast, followed by a bacon roll brunch for all later on.  We had a bit of a walk in the middle of the day to blow the cobwebs away (taking in Dryhope Tower which we climbed), before saying goodbye to our friends (who were heading off to Manchester for a flight for a skiing holiday).

Later we played Ticket to Ride (which I won by a substantial margin for once - MrsCyclops is usually a fiend at that one).
