New Year’s Day 2023

The lovely New Year’s Day concert from Vienna started our year off very nicely!
The sun put in an appearance so we took Pepper to Brigsteer Woods, and sat in the bird hide making a start on the bird list. Seven snipe a sleeping was a very good record!
George and Pippa sent video New Year hellos!
We had a quick zoom with Gilly who got home safely but with further car trouble so that will have to be dealt with asap.
I made turkey and ham pie so that’s the beast more or less finished!
But then Andrew phoned to say the COVID has struck! He says he started to feel I’ll the night they got home so we are testing and hoping it’s not here too. That would be a bad start!
