New Year's Day

Happy New Year from the birthplace of blip.
I absolutely love Edinburgh and think it is the most beautiful city however I don't think it looks it's best just now. There are so many roadworks, construction work and the poor state of Princes Street that I wonder what the tourists make of it all. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of them though and my husband and I joined the masses in town. We went to see the Turner exhibition for it's annual January outing but most people there seemed to think it was better to take photos of the paintings rather than actually look at them!
Got on with my jigsaw then had a delicious New Year's dinner.
