A selection of derelicts

I went out on the terrace today for the first time in weeks, to see what might be left of this summer/fall's plantings.  Dead and dying plants were all there were to see, although a few bright spots remained, such as these rose hips and one last rose.  So I thought I'd make a collage of derelict plants and label it for Derelict Sunday, my first entry.

We didn't get together today for family dinner, but tomorrow will be our New Year's Twinsday.  I hope it's another dry day.  And I hope all of you have recovered from your New Year's festivities and hangovers and begun the new year with joy in your hearts.
