Top of the Steps
The flowers on the left are the ones we bought on the visit to the local garden centre on Saturday. Each pot sits on a step and they brighten up the approach to the back door nicely, although as you can probably tell, it's pretty dull today and the wind is quite strong, so there is a bit of movement in the flower heads.
The garden is coming along - one of the rhododendrons has flowered and the bluebells are opening. Sadly, we inherited spanish bluebells rather than english ones, but they still look lovely when they are in bloom - especially when the snow-in-summer comes out on the little rockery in front of the rhododendron.
If you look closely, you can see one or two bare patches on the lawn from where I was a bit over enthusiastic with the lawn sand over the winter. They are slowly shrinking. You can see the difference in colour of the patch of lawn nearest the camera on the right, which is still more moss than grass, to the rest of the garden where I applied the lawn sand and killed the moss.
Got to go the dentist later. Having had some expensive implants, one of them cracked while I was munching on some Fruit and Fibre! At least I won't have to pay any extra, as they are covered under a guarantee.
