Solitude

While all the others were milling about in the water, the solitary gull on a pole in the middle of the canal, caught my eye. He/she seemed so alone.
Walked with my dear friend, Carmela, enjoying each other’s company and rare time together to discuss and debate, faith and love. Despite decades of age, difference, a blessed friendship.
