Old house

In small and remote villages in rural Andalucia, traditionally built houses are now mostly old and often abandoned entirely, or in part. This has been because of migration of younger generations to the urban areas in search of salaried employment and rural villages are more often than not made up of older people.

For Mono Monday, this is an old house in the village of La Higuera, seen on my walk this morning. I loved the slightly skew chimney and mottled old terracotta tiles on the roof. Thanks Skeena for hosting.
