Scapa Bay
I went back to Scapa pier hoping the little auks would still be there, but no. The three tugs were absent and I wonder if that makes the pier less of an attraction to the auks as they seem to like fishing in the calm water in the lee of the boats. The great northern diver was fishing a fair bit out. On the way back I saw a chiffchaff again on willows by a path, but couldn't get a shot. The books say that chiffchaffs do sometimes overwinter on Orkney. The clouds over the bay were nice.
