Tourist Snapshot
So that's it for another year, back to just the two of us again. We drove daughter#2 and fiancé D to Birmingham Airport for their flight back to Munich. It was a lovely sunny day so on the way we stopped off to show D the yew tree doorway at St Edward's Church in Stow-on-the-Wold. He is a big Tolkien fan and the door is supposed to have inspired him, though reading up on it there is no definite evidence of this.
We had to queue up to get this photo. It's a very popular spot. There was an American family in front of us who wanted someone to take their photo with their phone. Did they ask me, the only person there looking like a professional with a proper camera? No, they asked D.
We also stopped for lunch on the way.
The airport seemed very quiet.
On the way home we got stuck for a while behind a gritting lorry. The forecast doesn't seem to warrant it.

Yesterday Evening
I haven't been to see these lights this year, I wonder if they are still there.
