Almond Castle

Out for a chilly dog walk with Jude at the site of the old Manuel brickworks near Whitecross. A chance for a mono Monday entry with the ruins of old Almond castle and accompanying dead tree.
The whole area seems to be changing from a concrete and brick strewn wasteland which nature was slowly reclaiming, into a huge soil and aggregate storage site.

Time will tell, but I expect the castle is protected and will remain for now. It is  is fenced off as is definitely in the hazardous category now.
