Blue Tit ( Cyanistes caeruleus )

A quiet day around home. Watching some TV, particularly a programme marking the 2oth anniversary of the first Harry Potter film.  Very interesting hearing the various actors reminiscing about the making of the films, particularly those who had grown from children to young adults playing the parts.

The Blue Tit is yet another natural item that has changed its name, when I first learned it the Genus was Parus.  A very common species the summer numbers are in the region of 3,400,000 territories.  I always find it startling to remember an adult weighs around the same as two sheets of A4 paper.
