Perfection

I have just finished another fascinating online course. So much information for my little brain to cope with.
I have a tendancy to take things at face value. The course may have given me (amongst other things) a bit of a nudge to look beyond the superficial.
My photo is of the Enso, by Kanjuro Shibata. Reading about this gave me a better insight into a picture I copied some time ago from the internet. The text had a clear message and appeared (to me) to be framed with a decorative circle. I now realise that the "circle" was drawn to emphasise and reflect the message in the text. I just need to check if the circle was open or closed...
