High Cup Nick - Nearly
Trotted up the fell with the aim of Blipping High Cup Nick (HCN) with a view facing west. However it was cold, blowing a gale and raining so I bottled out. The view is only part of it - facing roughly south-east. Shorts and a thin waterproof are not enough - you would think I would learn.
HCN is a classic glaciated valley, its U shape emphasised by the presence of part of the Whin Sill which is made of Dolerite - this causes the dark cliffs near the top.
The full west view awaits for a better day.
