The festive season is coming to an end.
It's time to cook everyday food again. That means soup, today it's Mexican. We do still have many goodies left, e.g. chocolate and cake. And of course, rice porridge that has long been a part of Christmas tradition in Scandinavia. In Finland the Christmas rice porridge is sometimes eaten with a kissel or compote made of dried prunes. We cook the porridge and kissel of mixed dried fruits every Christmas, every year also again and again, but will not until spring:)
