Cherry vinegar fly
On the lookout for something tiny in the garden I was photographing the moss on the trunk of our cherry tree when I spotted something pink between the tiny moss patches. Couldn’t make out what it was, not with my glasses nor with my camera viewfinder. On the laptop I discovered it was a very tiny critter, according to the insect ID app a cherry vinegar fly or Drosophila suzukii, which apparently is a pest to all fruit growers :-0
