the egg man's home

Rather a sad story with this. There used to be a free-range egg farmer who had hundreds of hens in the large field where this shed stands. Sadly his business went under and he lost everything he owned. So he decided to make his home in this shed and he lived there for many years on his own. It does have electricity and water. He died here too. We walked past it today and it's in such a beautiful place surrounded with trees with a little brook at the end of the field. Despite not having much he must have been happy.
