Mistletoe
I joined two botanists for a second VC53 NYPH in Deeping St James today. We found 21 species in flower, including many of the usual suspects that were recorded in Stamford on New Year's Day.
But, we added a few that weren't seen in Stamford including Hedgerow Crane's-bill and All-seed, the latter only identified as flowering when I looked at it under the microscope!
It was a glorious morning to be out and we enjoyed seeing Maidenhair Spleenwort and Black Spleenwort on several stone walls, and were wowed by some very large populations of Mistletoe .
