A brain, a harp and a lute

A horrible dark wet day. The spaniel and I ventured into the Buckinghamshire end of the Chilterns for a somewhat miserable walk. I did find a few fungi including some Oak Pin and this Crystal Brain, a type of jelly fungus. Eventually I was so wet that I took shelter in St Bartholomew's Church, Fingest, with its unusually massive 12th century tower uniquely topped by twin gables. It was in here that I stumbled upon a nice stained glass window by Joseph Nuttgens. Dated 1988, it featured a lute, a harp, a trumpet and cymbals. It was too dark to photograph the window so it will join my growing list of windows to revisit.
