Escaping the shower

There seemed to be dark and threatening clouds all around Bertie and I while we were out in his afternoon walk. However, we were fortunate as none decided to pass overhead. At one point the sun illuminated the heavy cloud over the hill and a rainbow appeared alongside the sheets of rain. It lasted for several minutes and was beautiful to watch it evolving.
Later, we left Bertie and Lucy at home while we had a meal with family; very tasty locally reared pork with superb cracking and a great variety vegetables. We met our new eight-week-old great nephew for the first time and had fun with his two and a half year old brother.
