A Moment In Time

I liked the high key, pastel tones in this image, with the slightly more intense orange of the oak leaf for contrast. It gives a feel of frosty winter days and all the little bits of detail in the ice appealed to me.

If I were being picky I would like the leaf to be more inside the 'U' shape of ice, but that wasn't going to change. I like how the ice stops all motion, freezing it in place. It's a little gift left for me to find and study. Tomorrow it will be gone.
