my little friend

I found a Western Tiger Swallowtail on the road when I was riding my bike today. It doesn't fly right anymore; that is, it flies in circles. I'm conflicted about whether to set it free to fly lopsided in the wild, or care for it until it departs this reality.

It likes to crawl on my hand and I'm very fond of it.
