Donations

I had a call from our local Co-op manager asking if I would come to collect donations received from customers at the village supermarket which had been added to by a local church collection during December. So up we went and filled the boot and delivered the items into Hexham. The observant will notice dog food. This is very well received by users because dogs and other animals bring friendship and comfort to them and need feeding too. What I didn’t realise until today is that our local foodbank buys around £60K of food from large supermarkets each year added to about the same amount given in donations and this is all given to those who need it.
