Breakfast and other rantings

Yesterday I didn't eat my breakfast and I didn't eat my dinner so Ann was a little bit worried about me. This morning I gobbled up all my breakfast in super quick time, so Ann's guessing I just wasn't very hungry yesterday.

I've had three walks, on my lead, in the rain today. Our weather app is showing rain for the rest of our life.  Booohooo.

Oh, and my human is in a very bad mood. Do you want to know why?................. Before Christmas she increased our direct debit with EDF to £200pm. Yesterday they took £400 out of our account. Are they even allowed to do that without telling us? Well, obviously they are because they've done it. And you all know how impossible it is to actually speak to a real life person at any of the utility companies......... First she tried to 'chat' online to the online chat option, but that obviously wasn't a real live person because it just kept popping up with the rubbish that they have in the FAQ section. Sooooo, then she had to search for a phone number, listen to about 10-15 mins of an automated message telling her how everything could be done online, errr, no it couldn't, which was why she was phoning, and then wait for almost another half an hour before she actually got to speak to a real live person, all the while listening to messages saying, 'your call is important to us'........................ When she eventually got through to a real live person, it was difficult to understand what they were saying so she had to ask them to keep repeating themselves and even then, it was obviously just someone who was working in a call centre and reading off a script. Absolutely dreadful customer service. Long story short, Ann was told that because she had two electric meters, when she increased her direct debit to £200, it had increased it on both meters. Duh!!!!! We DO NOT have two meters. Apparently EDF have now 'elevated' the problem so it will be looked into soon and £200 will be refunded to her bank account. Ann's not convinced. Her account is showing that another payment of £400 will be taken on 1st February so she asked for a reassurance that only £200 would be taken and was told that it would. She's not convinced about that either. And no, we don't have a smart meter, because apparently they're being put in by area and our area hasn't been done yet. What can we do, except check our bank account to see when the £200 goes back in. Ann's going to give it a week and then no doubt she's going to have to go through the whole process again. Grrrrrrrr..............
