A mild day 12C, with strong gusty wind and short, sharp showers.I dressed for rain but was fortuitous in my timing. I enjoyed an encounter with a friendly feline on my circuitous walk to the shops who appeared to be out on it’s own adventure.
At 3.30 I walked a new route to view the sunset from Sugarwell Hill; my usual way has turned from a frozen solid surface to a sloshy, slippery mess. I noticed benches that are best situated for observing Summer sunsets so I will return here later in the year. The sky was dramatic, heavy rain-bearing clouds hung low a short distance away, the wind was high. For once I was the sole viewer. I plodded my way home across the playing fields, the going was slow and heavy.
