Waiting for breakfast

These three are part of the "mourning" group of birds that await me every day. Not ME, exactly but the birdseed I put out for them. The doves are joined by the squirrels: Red Head, White Ears and Stripey (Yes, I named them), and an assortment of Towhees, Sparrows and other small birds. They get along pretty well, although they let the squirrels go first.

Today, however, everyone ate in a big hurry because the giant storm arrived, and the rain has bucketed down most of the day. This Atmospheric River is really whacking us, but the wind hasn't been as bad as I feared, so the trees in the back aren't swaying dangerously. That was a big relief. I'm up the hill from the creek so I don't have to evacuate, thank goodness. We'll see what tomorrow and the next few days bring.
