Lucky escape!

The rain and wind had not let up for 24 hours and we heard that the Whitianga and Whangamata roads were closed. We decided it was best to head home a day early.  We were the last car out of Tairua before they closed that road too. We are now back in Auckland warm and dry. Main shot is the road just before it closed and the extra is my view from the front passenger window!
