Cake, cheese and ale

One one of my many trips up to Leeds, there was a pub conversation about Christmas Cake and cheese (apparently, it is a Yorkshire thing!). As Helen had made a Christmas Cake last month, I thought I should try out the combination - although I only had some Red Leicester, not the strong Cheddar which is supposed to be the best Cake companion. Washed it down with a pint of Burning Sky Aurora (an IPA brought home as a takeaway from the River Ale House yesterday).
