New life

This is a mother-in-law's tongue plant that I gained from a daughter's plant.  It has taken a while to get going, but it now has enough root growth to hold itself up and I noticed the other day that a new spike is poking its head above the soil at the edge of the pot.

Another quiet day with no walks or allotment but a bit of cooking to use up some of the veg and other ingredients that have been hanging around in the kitchen.
