Mono Chrome
It's been a while since I did a B&W. Out for a walk earlier we passed this grain processing facility. I took a few pictures of it and knew they'd end up B&W.
There's something about big shiny metal structures that asks to be rendered in B&W. Images of construction, industry and engineering call to mind the medium as if that prosperous productivity represents some golden age prior to the invention of colour film. The decline and decay of industry is also calls to mind grainy images rendered in the medium.
However, I think the main reason I have for associating shiny metal things with B&W was all those early Buster Crabbe versions of Flash Gordon I watched in the summer holidays as a kid.
