Gilpin Lodge

Gilpin Lodge near Windermere in the Lake District is one of the best small hotels in the UK, don't take my word for it just check out their awards.
It's just got better with the building of their beautiful new spa.
It's part of a spa trail which starts with a consultation where you choose your favourite oils, followed by a sauna, swim, salt shower, spa treatment and then ending up in their cedar wood jacuzzi imported from Canada with a glass of champagne.
I'm not one for treatments, pampering etc. but I really enjoyed this.
