Ceramic Wall Display
Pilates followed by a run took care of this morning.
I’ve started to renovate another door. This time the one into what we call the long cupboard. Largely because it extends into our next door neighbours back yard. It is known as a flying freehold. Fortunately we are on good terms if we need to do any exterior work. The cupboard houses our footwear, outdoor gear and diy equipment. Therefore the door hides a lot of things best hidden. I had to decide whether to replace or renovate the rim lock. It was still working so decided to strip it back to metal and repaint it. Pleased I did as I’ve uncovered some brass detail that had been submerged under layers of paint. The door knobs will need replacing to tie it in with the cellar door.
Managed to look at the footwear and decided some needed to be culled.
Popped into the Library where I spotted this wonderful display. It was made in conjunction with the pottery I often walk past and the local junior school in 2004. I was surprised I hadn’t noticed it before but it was in the junior section.
There is another part which I will save for another day
