Epiphany

The day when the Christian Church marks the arrival of the Magi to bring gifts to a King.

The Cambridge Dictionary describes Epiphany as:-  "a moment when you suddenly feel that you understand, or suddenly become conscious of something that is very important to you."

Mum's 65-year-old nativity set is looking worse for wear, I've lost or broken characters down the years and I've had to replace her hand-painted figures with bought ones. Joseph, The second wise man and the crib are substitutes but still, I display it every year.

By coincidence, coinciding with Epiphany, I got a note through my door telling me which Gospel reading I am being asked to do on Sunday. Not surprisingly, it's this story.
