Duddingston Loch

I didn't do very much in the morning,  but in the afternoon I decided to take a trip over to Duddingston Loch. It's somewhere I've never been, despite living so close. And it was well worth it. The sun was low in the sky, which made for a lovely view, and I saw some goldcrests, wrens, long tailed tits and several tree creepers. There were lots of birds on and around the water including some very tame swans, moorhen, tufted duck and lots of mallards. It was a short afternoon visit, but made for a very pleasant wee outing.
