BLACK & WHITE & RED ALL OVER
Red Szell is set to become the first blind person to climb the Old Man of Hoy next month.
The Scottish sea-stack is 137 metres (449 ft) high and was first climbed by Chris Bonnington, Rusty Baille & Tom Patey in the 80's.
Red was interviewed on BBC Radio 4's In Touch (to be broadcast tomorrow) and told us he's hoping to raise £10 000. The money will go towards gene-therapy research into Retinitis Pigmentosa at Moorfields' Hospital.
The climb is scheduled for either 19/20/21 June depending on weather.
