Mild for the time of year

When I looked out at the patio this morning the sun glistened on the puddles, it looked good enough to go out and enjoy it.
 That would have been silly.
Over the past few days I have developed a cough and sore throat. I woke up at 3am and thought I must do a lateral flow test in case it's covid.
Well it was negative, but by then I'm wide awake making tea and doing puzzles and having a good cough.
The irony of it all kicked in, and I thought if you didn't laugh you would go mad.
